Drymen Camping Full Terms and Conditions – last updated April 2023

Full Booking Policy

Camping (Standard and Family-sized Pitches) – Priced per person per night, 30% deposit due upon booking with the balance to be paid 30 days before check-in. 

Kocoons* – Priced per unit per night, 30% deposit due upon booking with the balance to be paid 30 days before check-in.

Green Pods* – Priced per unit per night, 30% deposit due upon booking with the balance to be paid 30 days before check-in.

*Please note, Kocoons and Green Pods have been completely sanitised before your arrival

Bookings can bookings can be made online, or directly with Drymen Camping. To keep payments contactless, we will accept online payments only in GBP via Stripe or bank transfer, no cash, no cheques accepted. Please check your email confirmation for booking details, as we cannot be held responsible for errors in information provided at the time of booking. Any chargeable items brought on the day of arrival which have not been included in the initial booking will be subject to availability and payable upon arrival.

If payment has not been made for the remaining balance within the specified time of 30 days before arrival, Drymen Camping reserve the right to cancel the booking with no refund or rebooking link due. In the instance of non-payment of the remaining balance due a reasonable issue, the lead booker should contact Drymen Camping at enquiries@drymencamping.co.uk at the earliest opportunity to avoid full cancellation.

Adults over the age of 18 must make all bookings and must not make bookings for groups of minors with no responsible adult present. Any such groups will be refused admission on entry, no refund due.

Children are welcome at Drymen Camping as part of a family group, but we do not allow children under the age of 18 to stay unaccompanied without a responsible adult present.

Drymen Camping does not accept large groups who are not walking / cycling an established route such as The West Highland Way. This includes but is not limited to groups of young adults, stag and hen parties. If in doubt please contact us. If a group arrives without our knowledge or prior consent, admission will be refused.

Check-in times are between the hours of 14:00h and 20:00h during summer months or before sunset whichever occurs earliest. If you intend to arrive out with these times please contact us in advance on (+44) 07494144064. 

Please note unless you have contacted us prior to the arrival date, your booking will be held until the times aforementioned on the day of your arrival, after which it will be put up for re-sale and your booking treated as a cancellation with no refund due.

Walkers and Cyclists completing established walking routes such as The West Highland Way are welcome to pay on arrival if no prior booking has been made but admission will be subject to availability.

Check-out time is 10:00h at which point the facilities will be closed for sanitisation until 14:00h

Tent pitches can be pre-booked and paid for on a per person per night basis and on the understanding there are no pre-allocated pitches although those with pitches booked together will be allocated together. Pitch spaces will be marked out on the campsite lawn and it is expected that campers will keep their tents and guy ropes within the boundary of each space. To further aid social distancing measures within the campsite, pitched tents will be required to have the same orientation so as the main entrance to each tent faces a uniform direction. Campers can choose their pitch space on a first come first served basis.

Drymen Camping reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who we feel will not be able to follow our policies as detailed in our terms & conditions below.

The prices advertised are accurate at the time of booking. Prices can move up or down and Drymen Camping reserves the right to do so. Customers are advised to check the website for the most up to date information including any current restrictions, our latest promotions, deals and discounts.  Although prices may vary from time-to-time, the price payable is the price confirmed at the time of booking.

The prices are based on a daily rate unless otherwise stated. Prices include VAT at the current prevailing rate.

Prices do not include any additional services, features and facilities unless expressly stated.

Promotions, deals or discounted offers are provided at the discretion of Drymen Camping. All offers are subject to availability, cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount and may be withdrawn at any time. Retrospective refunds are not permitted against any offer or promotion advertised after such time a booking is made.

Full Cancellation Policy

In addition to the following (which are under normal conditions), if Lockdown is re-introduced nationally or locally around the Drymen Camping area: please see clause marked ***

Standard Camping Pitches and Family-sized/Campervan Pitches:

  • Refunds will be made (minus unrecoverable fees*) up to 14 days before arrival date, From 14 days – 48 hrs before arrival date, a rebooking link will be issued (this is valid for 12 months and will carry over any payment already made). Under 48 hours before arrival date, no refunds or rebooking links will be issued.

Pods (Kocoons and Green Pods):

  • Refunds will be made (minus unrecoverable fees*) up to 30 days before arrival date, From 30 days, no refunds due

All Cancellations including those backed by the previous Coronavirus Booking Guarantee will now be processed in line with the cancellation policy listed above.

*Unrecoverable Fees’ are such fees within the initial booking fee paid by the customer which are lost directly to third party commission or online payment provider fees. If further clarification is required, please contact us by email.

If you decide to leave early for any reason Drymen Camping are not liable to refund any unused nights.

In rare circumstances Drymen Camping may have to cancel your booking:  

***In circumstances beyond our control Drymen camping is not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your Booking. Such circumstances shall include (but will not be limited to) war, terrorism, serious crime, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics or such similar events (“Force Majeure”). We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this. Drymen Camping will agree to, subject to availability, amend your booking to a date of your choosing within 18 months of the original arrival date. 

Under normal circumstances within our control we will offer you a full refund of any fees paid or the option of an alternative pitch/site of a comparable standard (with you paying any additional cost in respect of a price difference). No other compensation is available.

If you wish to amend your booking, you must notify Drymen Camping as soon as possible whereby any amendments are subject to availability and the terms of our cancellation policy. 

Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to change these terms at any time

While Drymen Camping wishes every guest to relax and enjoy themselves during their stay, due to the ongoing coronavirus situation extra measures may in place around the campsite at the time of arrival and in addition to the following Respect & Think of Others Policies all must be adhered to:

1: Drymen Camping operates a no noise policy after 10pm every night. All campers require a good night’s sleep and there are also residential properties within the immediate vicinity of the campsite. 

2: No loud music to be played anywhere on the campsite at any time

3: Guests must not consume alcohol on site

4: Show care towards other guests personal space and belongings

5: Keep your tent including guy ropes and personal belongings within the marked tent space

6: Keep to and respect all social distancing / personal hygiene measures as specified within the campsite including the one-way system around the campsite if required from time of arrival

7: To prevent cross-contamination, use hand sanitiser as provided

8: To prevent cross-contamination, use hand sanitiser as provided within enclosed areas or your own provided it meets official UK government standards 

9: Respect all other health and safety measures implemented on site which may not be mentioned in these terms but will be visible on site.

Dogs are welcome at Drymen Camping on the following conditions:

1: Dogs (unless Assistance Dogs), cooking or any naked flames (e.g. candles) aren’t permitted in Kocoons or Green Pods . Please contact us if in doubt.

2: Dogs must be kept on the lead and under control at all times so as not to disturb other guests and especially as there are livestock kept on the adjacent farms and fields 

3: Dogs must be taken off site for any ‘business’

4: If any dog fouling occurs on site, it must be bagged and4: If any dog fouling occurs on or off-site, it must be bagged and removed immediately to be placed in the appropriate bin when next available.

5: Dogs must not be taken into the public showers. If your dog requires washing, please ask and we can arrange for an outdoor hose to be made available.

Barbeques are permitted on site on the condition they are not disposable bbq’s or placed directly on the grass or directly on picnic benches to cause burning. Please use the pieces of slate / blocks provided to place underneath the barbeque if required or under hot pans to prevent burning. Hot water and or hot charcoals must not be poured / placed on the grass either to prevent damage to the grass. In the event the grass or picnic benches have been burnt Drymen Camping reserves the right to issue a fine of £75 to cover renewal and repair costs. 

Campfires are not permitted.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation and health and safety measures, unfortunately no guests will be allowed to visit campers at Drymen Camping during this time. We will amend this as soon as possible.

Any guest who doesn’t adhere to all of our policies throughout this whole document and disrupts the enjoyment of other guests will be required to leave the campsite immediately with no refund of camping fees due.

We wish you an enjoyable stay but should you have cause for complaint, please contact Drymen Camping management at enquiries@drymencamping.co.uk or by calling / texting / WhatsApp to 07494144064 who will try to resolve your complaint as soon as possible. Please give us the opportunity to resolve any immediate problem by reporting it to us immediately.

Drymen Camping holds all required insurances. Any potential claims should be made through the appropriate channels and in accordance with UK legislation.

Privacy Policy:  By providing any personal information, you will not be opted into any marketing campaigns ran by Drymen Camping nor will your details be distributed to any third parties for any reason. Contact details will only be kept for the purposes of completing bookings and answering queries and will be deleted after a reasonable period of time unless specifically requested in writing by yourself to be removed at an earlier date as is your right.
