Drymen Camping Full Terms and Conditions – last updated July 2020

Full Booking Policy

***To comply with Scotland’s track and trace system, ‘Trace & Protect, We will require full names and contact details of all campers. Upon booking, please respond to the email with subject heading ‘Contact details required’ before arrival***

Our Covid-19 prevention measures must be adhered to and you are advised to bring your own PPE (face masks, hand sanitiser etc) although they will also be on sale

Camping – Priced per person per night, 20% deposit due upon booking with the balance to be paid ten days before check-in. 

Kocoons* – Priced per unit per night, 20% deposit due upon booking with the balance to be paid ten days before check-in. 

Geopods* – Priced per unit per night, 20% deposit due upon booking with the balance to be paid ten days before check-in.

*Please note, Kocoons and Geopods will have been completely sanitised before your arrival and any bedding provided will have been in storage for at least 72 hours

Bookings can be made online, or directly with Drymen Camping. Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation and to keep payments contactless, we will accept online payments only in GBP via Stripe or bank transfer, no cash, no cheques accepted. Please check your email confirmation, as we cannot be held responsible for errors in information provided at the time of booking.

Adults over the age of 18 must make all bookings

Drymen Camping does not accept large groups who are not walking / cycling an established route such as The West Highland Way. This includes groups of young adults, stag and hen parties. If in doubt please contact us. If such a group arrives without our knowledge or prior consent, admission will be refused.

Check-in times are between the hours of 14:00h and 20:00h during summer months or before sunset whichever occurs earliest. If you intend to arrive out with these times please contact us in advance on (+44) 07494144064. 

Please note if you have not contacted us, your booking will be held until the times aforementioned on the day of your arrival, after which it will be put up for re-sale and your booking treated as a cancellation with no refund due.

Walkers and Cyclists completing established walking routes such as The West Highland Way are welcome to pay on arrival if no prior booking has been made and tent pitches, Kocoons or Geopods are still available.

Check-out time is 10:00h

Tent pitches can be pre-booked and paid for on a per person per night basis and on the understanding there are no pre-allocated pitches. However due to the ongoing coronavirus situation and the requirement for social distancing, pitch spaces will be marked out on the campsite lawn and it is expected that campers will keep their tents and guy ropes within the boundary of each space. To further aid social distancing measures within the campsite, pitched tents will be required to have the same orientation so as the main entrance to each tent faces a uniform direction. Campers can choose their pitch space on a first come first served basis

Drymen Camping reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who we feel will not be able to follow our policies as detailed in our terms & conditions below.

The prices advertised are accurate at the time of booking. Prices can move up or down and Drymen Camping reserve the right to do so. Customers are advised to check the website for the most up to date information including our latest promotions, deals and discounts.  Although prices may vary from time-to-time, the price payable is the price confirmed at the time of booking.

The prices are based on a daily rate unless otherwise stated. Prices include VAT at the current prevailing rate.

Whilst we will make every effort to ensure that our prices remain unchanged, they may be amended at any time prior to payment of the final balance.

Prices do not include any additional services, features and facilities unless expressly stated.

Promotions, deals or discounted offers are provided at the discretion of Drymen Camping. All offers are subject to availability, cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount and may be withdrawn at any time. Retrospective refunds are not permitted against any offer or promotion advertised after such time a booking is made.

Full Cancellation Policy

In addition to the following (which are under normal conditions), if Lockdown is re-introduced nationally or locally around the Drymen Camping area: please see clause marked ***

For Bookings made under the Coronavirus Booking Guarantee:

No refunds, but as long as at least 48 hours notice is provided in writing, complete flexibility to move bookings for up to 18 months from the holiday start date and therefore not lose any money

For Pre-existing Bookings:

Camping: Full refund (minus fee*) due if cancelled within 48 hours of arrival, no refund due if under 48 hours

Kocoons: Full refund (minus fee*) due if cancelled within 3 weeks of arrival, 50% refund within 2 weeks, no refund due if under 2 weeks

Geopods: Full refund (minus fee*) due if cancelled within 3 weeks of arrival, 50% refund within 2 weeks, no refund due if under 2 weeks

*The ‘minus fee’ should a refund be issued, is the element of unrecoverable fees within the booking fee paid by the customer which is lost directly to third party commission or online payment provider fees. If further clarification is required, please contact us.

If you decide to leave early for any reason Drymen Camping are not liable to refund any unused nights.

In rare circumstances Drymen Camping may have to cancel your booking:  

***In circumstances beyond our control Drymen camping is not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your Booking. Such circumstances shall include (but will not be limited to) war, terrorism, serious crime, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics or such similar events (“Force Majeure”). We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this. Drymen Camping will agree to, subject to availability, amend your booking to a date of your choosing within 18 months of the original arrival date. 

Under normal circumstances within our control we will offer you a full refund of any fees paid or the option of an alternative pitch/site of a comparable standard (with you paying any additional cost in respect of a price difference). No other compensation is available.

If you wish to amend your booking, you must notify Drymen Camping as soon as possible whereby any amendments are subject to availability and the terms of our cancellation policy. 

Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to change these terms at any time

While Drymen Camping wishes every guest to relax and enjoy themselves during their stay, due to the ongoing coronavirus situation extra measures are in place around the campsite in addition to the following Respect & Think of Others Policy which must be adhered to:

1: Drymen Camping operates a no noise policy after 10pm every night as there are permanent residencies within the immediate vicinity of the campsite

2: No music to be played anywhere on the campsite at any time

3: During this exceptional period following the coronavirus pandemic and to ensure Drymen Camping’s Covid-19 Protocols are adhered to, guests must not consume alcohol on site

4: Show care towards other guests personal space and belongings

5: Keep your tent including guy ropes and personal belongings within the marked tent space

6: Keep to and respect all social distancing measures as specified within the campsite including the one-way system around the campsite

7: Use face masks and gloves where appropriate within enclosed areas or facilities

8: To prevent cross-contamination, use hand sanitiser as provided within enclosed areas or your own provided it meets official UK government standards 

9: Respect and think of each others health in relation to your own personal hygiene when handling items and touching areas of common use (for example but not limited to taps, door handles, locks, light switches)

10: Respect all other health and safety measures implemented on site which may not be mentioned in these terms

Children are welcome at Drymen Camping but we do not allow children under the age of 18 to stay unaccompanied without a responsible adult present

Dogs are welcome at Drymen Camping on the following conditions:

1: No more than one small dog is permitted per Kocoon or Geopod booking at any time, and only one Kocoon and one Geopod has been allocated to accommodate the allowance of dogs. Please contact us if in doubt.

2: Dogs must be kept on the lead and under control at all times so as not to disturb other guests and especially as there are livestock kept on the adjacent farms and fields 

3: Dogs must be taken off site for any ‘business’

4: If any dog fouling occurs on site, it must be bagged and binned immediately

5: Dogs must not be taken into the public showers. If your dog requires washing, please ask and we can arrange to take you to an outdoor hose.

Barbeques are permitted on site on the condition they are not placed directly on the grass or directly on picnic benches to cause burning. Please use the pieces of slate provided to place underneath the barbeque to prevent burning. In the event the grass or picnic benches have been burnt Drymen Camping reserves the right to issue a fine of £50 to cover renewal and repair costs.

Fires are not allowed

Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation and health and safety measures, unfortunately no guests will be allowed to visit campers at Drymen Camping during this time. We will amend this as soon as possible.

Any guest who doesn’t adhere to all of our policies throughout this whole document and disrupts the enjoyment of other guests will be required to leave the campsite immediately with no refund of camping fees due.

While we wish you an enjoyable holiday, should you have cause for complaint, please contact Drymen Camping management immediately who will try to resolve your complaint. Please note that if you don’t give us the opportunity to resolve the problem by reporting it to us, we may not be able to deal with any complaint on your return and your rights to claim may be reduced or forfeited.

Drymen Camping holds all required insurances. Any potential claims should be made through the appropriate channels and in accordance with UK legislation.

Privacy Policy:  By providing any personal information, you will not be opted into any marketing campaigns ran by Drymen Camping nor will your details be distributed to any third parties for any reason. Contact details will only be kept for the purposes of completing bookings and answering queries and will be deleted after a reasonable period of time unless specifically requested in writing by yourself to be removed at an earlier date as is your right.
